Hi Everyone, We are almost through the month of February, the month of love and as we are still in the season of winter, it is a good time to focus on ourselves for a while. Now that we have given our love to others; friends, family, children and even our pets, we need to take some time to give love and attention to ... us. Many of us don't do that near enough. We spend so much time giving to others, our careers and all things in our lives but we tend to forget the most important person of all. And that is ourself, because if we were not here - what difference would anything else make, right? So I want to encourage all of you to set aside one day a week when you can spend extra time taking care of you. I don't mean taking a day to do the things you like to do like going shopping, getting your hair done or eating your favorite foods - no, I mean taking some time to heal, to renew, refresh and remember - your health. On Sunday's at noon (EST) I give free Reiki healing sessions to whoever signs up for them. It is a time when I give healing energy of peace and health to the world and all you need to do is sign up. Also, on your special day, whether it is on Sundays or another day of the week, spend some time before getting out of bed to just spend time going over your health, and your own body healing. Use what ever therapy techniques you have been trained in (or sign up to take others here on the website), and heal yourself. Just stay in bed for 20-30 minutes or more and use techniques like Reiki, color therapy, chakra therapy, crystal healing, reflexology, aromatherapy, acupressure, etc. to heal yourself. If you do this first thing in the morning before getting out of bed, it will become a habit and something you will look forward to - and you won't feel like you have been left out as you spend your days taking care of others. So begin this week and out of love for who you are, spend some time with just you!

Happy New Year! The new year of 2012 is now upon us and there is much to celebrate! We are moving now into a year that has given many people much concern - all having to do with - why did the Mayan calender end and what will really happen come December 21st of this year. I have been for sometime talking about just this on my weekly talk radio show, New Age Living - Internet Radio (www.lauriedeniseandrews.com) and I have done some research and believe that although we should be mindful of a change that may take place with the earth, we should not allow ourselves to live in fear. First of all, none of us know each and every day of what the future holds and even though we know that one day we will die - we do not live in fear, so why start now?? Go ahead and prepare a 72 (or more) hour kit to give you peace of mind - this is a good idea to always have on hand anyways but do not allow yourself to live in fear for the future will come one way or another and as things has always been, they will again be - just fine. I do not know, of course, for certain (no one does) if there will be any change in our world that may cause a disturbance for a while but what I am certain of - it will not be the end to the world or to you. What I do believe to be the biggest change that will happen is what has already been surfacing - and that is a greater ability to access the "other side." As we have already seen with more and more people being able to access this information, we will see the "veil" between this side and the other side - thinning more and those who are already on a spiritual path will grow even more spiritual and those who are not will begin that journey or at least be made aware of it. If you would like more information on this topic and many other topics I talk about, please visit: www.lauriedeniseandrews.com to listen to my weekly radio program. It truly is a great time to be alive - a time we have all chosen to be here for! With love, light and peaceful blessings, Namaste

Hi and Happy Holidays! I hope you are all enjoying this holiday season with its smells, lights and warm feelings. This time of year with its hectic energy can also be a time when we forget to take care of ourselves but it is so important to periodically do a personal "check-in" and see how we are holding up to all this month gives us - between our work, our family, shopping, traveling and stress! And then there are the emotions! Many, during this time of year have a real difficult time with memories, death of loved ones, being alone or family and financial problems - making us feel guilty because we don't have the life we see in TV commercials. I want to give you a couple of suggestions: One is to allow yourself to feel good and be okay with who you are and the family and life you have. Remember too, that what ever has been in your past should usually stay there. When we dwell on situations that bring us down, we are lowering our magnetic frequency - yes, we are energetic beings living in a world of varying frequencies - and when we allow upset to come into our lives, and especially upset that we have had to already live once, we are only re-inflicting ourselves and setting us on a negative frequency and setting us up for more negative things to come our way when we bring them back into our present life. So what ever may have us returning to the past in memories, leave them there - acknowledge them for what they are - memories - but don't let yourself dwell on them, instead work to find ways to make you happy in the now. And with any other problems, recognize them as only challenges and keep yourself strong by enjoying the Holidays in any and every way you can. Money just brings us possessions but not fulfillment. I also would suggest to anyone who is having a difficult time in any way this season or if stress is just too much right now - to look into Bach Flower Remedies - these wonderful little concoctions of flower & tree essences are 100% safe for everyone and work amazingly well - and the Rescue Remedy is a must have in any home and magical for stress! So there are a couple of suggestions - I hope it helps!! I hope you and your family do have a wonderful Holiday season and can enjoy the blessings of this time of year no matter what faith you are. With love, Laurie

Hi Everyone! With Thanksgiving only a couple of days away I wanted to send my wishes to you for a very wonderful day of giving thanks for all we have. No matter what our lives are like, there is always those things to be grateful for- and just by remembering and taking the time to be grateful for what we do have, means we no longer dwell on what we want or what is lacking and instead send a very powerful message to the universe that responds in helping us to attract more of what we are grateful for. This is the simple nature of the world we live in. So during this wonderful time of family, friends, and good food - take the time to remember to be grateful for some of the "little" things that we take for granted. 1. The good health that we have - (even if you are ill or dealing with health issues, taking the time to list and be grateful for the healthy areas of your body - sends healing and good health messages to the entire body) 2. The love that is in our lives - (even if you are finding yourself alone right now or missing the closeness of friends and family, take the time to list and revel in the areas, even the small acquaintances where you feel love - sending a message to the universe that you are accepting love in your life) 3. Your home and all of the conveniences and comforts for survival - (even if you want more out of life, even if your home and comforts are small, just by being grateful for what you have sends a more powerful message to the universe than the desire to want more) 4. Your past and present - (even if your past and present isn't what you want it to be - be grateful for the path you are on because it is this path that is ultimately leading to your future) During this Thanksgiving, remember to eat healthy, enjoy the moments and be most of all grateful! With love, Laurie

Hi Everyone, Here we are in Autumn and all around me people are sneezing, coughing and getting sick. But this doesn't have to be. As the change of seasons happen we just need to be more aware of our true natural selves and change too. It is only when we keep acting, eating, dressing and living the same as we did through the summer that we our immune systems will fail us and we become susceptible to falling ill. We have to remember that we are part of nature and the natural cyclical changes that take place. As Autumn and its cooler weather arrives, we must change the way we do things, moving from the activities and lifestyle we had during the warm summer months to the now cooler days and lifestyle that comes with it. Autumn is the time for moving inward, not just physically but also mentally, emotionally and spiritually. It is a time for cleaning out not only our bodies but also our minds and emotions from what ever we are holding on to. In Chinese Medicine, the season of fall has rein over the organs of the Lungs and Large Intestine and these are the organs that represent and establish the cleansing process of our bodies. So now is the time to do the things to cleanse ourselves but not just physically. If we hold onto things of our past we will soon find we have problems in our Lungs and Large Intestines too. We must use this time of Autumn to "let go" physically, mentally and emotionally of those things in our lives that no longer serve us a purpose and move on. It is a time for us to begin a rejuvenation process, slow down and take in the comforts of our home, community and harvest to warm our bodies and our spirits. If we do these things and work to let go and then build our bodies from the inside - out, our immune systems will be better able to handle the changes as they come. This is also a great time to utilize what you have learned in the course material from Acupressure, Color Therapy, Chakra Therapy, etc. to help your body and your client's body heal and rejuvenate. Good luck and happy autumn!
